Hold The Sun

Graduate Exhibition

Installation view : sculpturs, video & light boxes

2014

The installation creates an encapsulated world in which time follows different rules. Upon entering the gallery, the viewer follows the frozen flight of a butterfly; a sculpture of an ongoing cinematic moment. In the central piece, time nearly stops in a projection of a figure standing amid a lotus pond. The work functions as a "time mechanism" that contains various rhythms, meditative-repetitive images, offering the viewer to enter to a reflective state of mind.
